Special for fans of the Prancing Pony Podcast:
Limited Edition Poster Prints

My painting Arrival at the Inn, showing a cozy stone inn with a thatched roof and ivy-strewn stone walls. Light pours from the windows under a velvety-black starry sky. In the foreground four hobbits and five ponies make their way to the front door.

In partnership with the Prancing Pony Podcast, I am pleased to offer limited edition poster prints to celebrate the release of Why We Love Middle-earth!

Now you can enjoy even more detail from my watercolor painting, Arrival at the Inn, originally commissioned and featured on the cover of Why We Love Middle-earth by Shawn E. Marchese and Alan Sisto, cofounders of the Prancing Pony Podcast. This poster print would be a fantastic addition to any Tolkien collection.

About the book:
Why We Love Middle-earth is a guidebook for those delving deeply into Middle-earth for the first time, or seeking their own entry point into Tolkien fandom. Each chapter introduces a different book, adaptation, or fan interest from language to collecting and beyond, drawing readers deeper into Middle-earth as they read along with Alan and Shawn.

Image shows the poster print, framed and hung next to a giant Middle-earth map. A copy of Why We Love Middle-earth sits below next to some other Tolkien books.

About the art:
Alan and Shawn commissioned me to paint their beloved Prancing Pony Inn for the book’s cover, along with several black and white illustrations for the interior of the volume. I completed the cover painting, entitled Arrival at the Inn, in the summer of 2023. It is painted in my signature illustrative watercolor style, made up of many painstaking layers of thin wash which build up to create the dynamic final work.

For these poster prints, I have chosen to reproduce the artwork at an enhanced scale (about 30% larger than the actual painting) to make the details easy to enjoy. The full poster size is 16x20 inches with two inches of white space all around the artwork. Each poster is hand-signed and numbered by me below the artwork, and comes with a statement of authenticity.

The production run has been limited to 150 poster prints, so be sure to get yours while they are available.
